Q & A

Attractive 1960’s SEMAN’S automatic “Baby diver” + extra case.
These bits are offered as a project, so for parts or repairs.
At a later date, considering patina, the movement and dial were probably moved into the new case where it remained as such.
Both cases show + Brevet 238872 / Brev. Dem + and ACIER INOXYDABLE on the inside.

If you wish to benefit from the NOS case and complete the project, you’d need the male stem for the movement, and the female stem part for the crown, as well a better movement ring.
The original crown is present. The new old stock case is in amazing condition.
You could also use the old case which features a screw down crown and wear it right away.
Although the movement is in running condition, it was not tested for accuracy, but a service is expected.

Similar cased baby divers can sport dials by: BERTHOUD (De Luxe), LIDHER, JACQUET DROZ, TITUS CALYPSOMATIC, etc. with nearly identical parts or movements.

The SEMAN’S GENEVE glossy arrow shaped radium index dial has developed a nice patina.
The broad arrow steel hands are original to the watch although they show oxidation.
Automatic ETA 2375 movement in nickel finish shows various marks.
The NOS case may show minor storage marks.
The used case shows show visible wear or age related marks. Bezel paint faded and chipped here and there. Sold as is.

Diameter: ~32 mm across.
