Amazing 1940’s gilt dial Pierce 861 Pierce innovative linear automatic movement.
Gorgeous “6 lines” radium gilt dial. Dial shows minor age related marks and is developing a nice tropical patina.
Original leaf hands as well as red stick seconds hand in good condition.
Acrylic crystal shows various signs of wear but nothing a polish can’t remove.
Lovely fancy lugs white metal and steel back secured via 6 screws, Pierce patented, in decent condition with age related marks.
Inside is the highly sought after cal. 861 Pierce linear movement. Watch sets and winds smoothly. Balance turns freely.
Not inspected for accuracy. Would recommend service before use.
Steel crown, in good condition, winds and sets correctly.
Fitted with a period correct new old stock leather strap and a vintage MG Swiss buckle that complements the watch just perfectly.
Diameter: ~32.70 mm across, not including the crown.
